A Georgia Athletics History Lesson with DGD Jason Hasty

Jason Hasty - Georgia Athletics History Specialist and DGD - joins H.G. and Boss to bark about:

-  The exciting new exhibit debuting this fall to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the integration of Georgia's football team
- Auburn's "War Eagle" having a decidedly Georgia-flavored origin story
- The Spike Squad and their influence on Georgia's Savage Pads turnover celebration
- The Hanna Bat Company, a forgotten Athens treasure that once competed with the likes of Louisville Slugger
- Excitement building for the upcoming 2021 football season
- A historic four months for collegiate athletics with the passage of NIL legislation and the additions of Texas and OU to the SEC

Go Dawgs, Sic 'Em!

**Friday of football game weekends in the fall, be sure to visit Jason at 3 PM at the Russell Special Collections Building at 3 PM - he will be hosting tours of the upcoming special exhibit on The Integration of Athletics at the University of Georgia
